Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) is one of the largest medical universities in Georgia, offering MBBS education. Established in 1918, the university was named in 1989 after its founder, Ivane Javakhishvili. It is a non-profit public institution located in Tbilisi and holds the distinction of being the oldest university in both Georgia and the Caucasus region.

TSU currently enrolls over 18,000 students across various disciplines, including medicine, and employs around 5,000 faculty and staff members. According to the U.S. News & World Report global university rankings, TSU is ranked 359th worldwide, on par with the University of Warsaw. The university is recognized by major international medical organizations such as WHO and MCI.

TSU has evolved into a comprehensive and well-organized institution with a strong teaching staff and a modern MBBS education system. The university does not have a single central campus; instead, its buildings are spread throughout Tbilisi. The oldest and main administrative building is known as Building No.1. Within its courtyard lies the Pantheon of TSU, where the university's founders are buried—individuals who played pivotal roles in establishing and advancing various scientific fields in Georgia. The Pantheon stands as an important cultural and historical landmark.

➢ Photograph

• Required digital photograph above shoulder in white background. It should show a close up of your face and the top of your shoulders so that your face takes up between 70% - 80% of the face.

• Required 6 passport size photographs should be 35mm x 45mm in Width and Height over matt paper with white background.

➢ Birth Certificate

• In English only

• Required only if student is minor less than 18 years.

➢ Bank Statement of Father or Mother (PLEASE NOTE: Passbook copy is not acceptable)

• 6 months original bank statement with Bank Stamp on it.

• Minimum closing balance not less than Rs. 2.5 Lakhs.

• In case account is opened less than 6 months then letter from bank manager stating

when the account was opened.

➢ If the student has Bank statement of himself or herself it is acceptable

• 6 months original bank statement with Bank Stamp on it.

• Minimum balance not less than Rs. 2.5 Lakhs.

➢ No objection letter/ Sponsorship Affidavit on a Rs. 100 stamp paper (Original).

➢ Minor affidavit on Rs. 10 Stamp Paper from Father and Mother if Student is below 18 years old.

➢ Student Pan Card Copy ( For Dollar exchange & Forex Card).
